Ingredients

  • 2 bananas - sliced
  • ¼ cup chia seeds
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • ¼ cup flax seed meal
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • 2 cups strawberries - sliced
  • ¼ cup walnuts - chopped
  • 4 cups water

Instructions

  1. Bring water, salt and cinnamon to a boil then stir in steel cut oats
  2. Reduce heat and simmer until liquid is absorbed, about 15 minutes.Five minutes prior to the end of cooking time, stir in flax seed meal, chia seeds, chopped walnuts, banana and strawberry slices.Cook until liquid is absorbed then divide evenly between four bowls to serve.
