Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup miniature chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 1/4 cups cocoa Rice Krispie cereal
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 teaspoons instant coffee
  • 1 cup butter milk
  • 1 bag Reese's Minis, halved (8 ounce bag)
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt
  2. Remove 1/2 cup for topping.Add the baking soda, oil, egg, and butter milk and stir until combined.Spread in a greased 9x13 pan
  3. Sprinkle with the peanut butter cups and reserved topping mixture
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes
  5. Remove from the oven and cool
  6. Serve warm
  7. Cut into 24 squares.Place the butter, honey, and sugar in a saucepan
  8. Heat over low-medium heat until melted
  9. Remove from heat
  10. Stir in the instant coffee and cocoa powder
  11. Stir until dissolved
  12. Add the oats and stir until covered
  13. Slowly add the cereal and stir until completely coated
  14. Let cool for 5-7 minutes
  15. Stir in the chocolate chips.Press the mixture firmly into a buttered 8x8 baking pan
  16. Let set
  17. Cut into 10-12 bars
  18. Store in a sealed container.
