Ingredients

  • 2 c all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 T butter, softened
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 c confectioners sugar
  • 2 T dark brown sugar
  • 4 T granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 1/2 c heavy cream
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. With a fork, cream 1 T butter, 2 T sugar, and 2 tsp cinnamon together; set aside
  2. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
  3. In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients: flour, brown sugar, remaining granulated sugar, baking powder and salt
  4. Pour in cream and stir until combined
  5. Don't over mix
  6. Spray a 8x8 inch baking dish with vegetable spray or line with parchment paper
  7. Divide dough in half and press one half in bottom of dish
  8. Spread butter, sugar, cinnamon mixture over layer
  9. Gently press second half of dough on top
  10. Scoure dough into 9 squares
  11. Bake 15 to 19 minutes or until golden brown.Meanwhile, Mix milk, vanilla, and sugar until smooth
  12. Pour over hot biscuits
  13. Serve warm.
